CREATING A ROLEPLAY;
This is the point of TC, after all.
If you're interested in starting an rp on TC, please make sure you're ready to start one. Once it's made, you will be in charge of it, and if your ownership should slack, your rp could get taken down or passed to someone else.
Don't feel pressured to start a roleplay or pick one of the big ones. We allow simple one-shot or small group roleplays here as well.
If at any point you need help or have a question that you cannot find an answer to, do not hesitate to contact a TC admin!
GET STARTED;
•First of all, your roleplay can be about anything. You're welcome to make rps for animals of any kind, humans, supernatural things, and made up things! You're also welcome to create fandom roleplays, such as Warriors/Survivors/Seekers or Pokemon, or base them off of your favorite books or anime. If you choose to make a fandom roleplay, your description must include the name of the original work. For example, a simple "(a Divergent roleplay)" at the end will suffice.
•Now, once you've got a general idea, please message an TC admin so get things going. You will be asked for a name and description, and the admin will ask some questions to make sure everything goes smoothly.
•If you'd like to keep things under-wraps, you may request your rp's description be "CLOSED" or "WIP" until you're ready to add the real description. You may ask to temporarily close your rp for maintenance at any time, just message a site admin.
•Next, you must supply names and descriptions for any sub-boards you would like within your roleplay. You are allowed to put sub-boards inside of sub-boards. We would like to ask that you try not to make too many, or your roleplay could become cluttered, but it's entirely up to you. And please try to take things slowly, lest your overwhelm the admin you're working with.
•You will be in charge of your rules, plot, character form, ect. Anything else a roleplay needs, will be left up to you. Once you've written these things up, please have a site staff member look over them to make sure none of TC's rules are being broken.
•You are welcome to run your roleplay yourself, but mini-mods are encouraged if your roleplay gets popular enough to warrant some help. Since mini-mods do not have any powers on the site itself, you will be in charge of recruiting them and making sure your members know. Perhaps a staff thread within your board could be helpful.
•Perhaps to keep things tidy, you can request a "character" sub-board, with another "accepted" board within it. There are plenty more ways you could go about this, so be sure to pick the best system for your roleplay and comfort level.
•TC itself has a currency system, with equal rates throughout all of the roleplays. It is up to you whether or not your roleplay has a store, though. If you do, make sure to keep your prices fair and updated as your learn how quickly or slowly your members gather currency. When making a sale, mini-admins will contact a TC admin so they can removed the spent currency from the purchaser's account. NOTE: our skin does not include your currency in your mini-profile, so you must go to your full profile to see your balance.KEEP IN MIND;
•Rules and character forms are both required. Rules are a given. Since all roleplays share one board for character logs, forms are to keep everything tidy. Forms may vary from rp to rp, but please try not to make them too extravagant. Forms that allow images are required to have somewhere for the roleplayer to link where they found the image, so we may check for copyright.
•You are NOT allowed to create an entire roleplay just for you and your friends. If you're interested in only rolelaying with a select group, there are boards specifically for private roleplays/rp groups. If a group of people within a created roleplay are found ignoring others in favor of each other, they will be banned from that roleplay by TC admins. If the mini-staff are the problem, the roleplay will either be closed or taken over by TC staff, depending on the popularity of the roleplay.
•You will not be allowed to specifically advertise your own roleplay. You are allowed to advertise the whole of TC, not just yourself. If we find that you have been advertising yourself or editing TC's ad, your roleplay could be taken down.
